In a landmark initiative aimed at empowering the youth of Jammu & Kashmir through education, the Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) in association with Kashmir Career Counselor Association (KCCA) today organized an Education Summit in Srinagar and announced a scholarship worth Rs 20-50 Crore for deserving and needy students of the region. The summit, witnessed the enthusiastic participation of students, parents, education counselors, and eminent academicians.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, PUCA and Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura Near Chandigarh, said This scholarship initiative is a historic step to support the bright and deserving students of J&K, who often face financial hurdles in pursuing higher education. PUCA and its member colleges are committed to making quality education accessible and affordable for the youth of this region.
Dr. Kataria added that around 20 leading colleges of Punjab collectively announced scholarships worth Rs 2.5 Crore each, ensuring a wide range of opportunities for students across different streams. The Education Summit brought together not only educational institutions but also more than 200 education counselors from across Jammu & Kashmir, who interacted with students and parents to provide personalized guidance on admissions, career planning, and scholarship benefits.
KCCA members including Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Rayees Ali, Muneeb Basit, Ayaz Ali, Nasir Hussain, Nabeel Showkat, Sanam Bhat appreciated that the announcement of this scholarship is expected to benefit thousands of students from Jammu & Kashmir, especially those from rural and underprivileged backgrounds. The initiative will not only provide financial relief but also open doors for students to study in some of the most reputed institutions of Punjab.
