Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi took a U turn & postponed fixed charges mentioned in earlier notice (dated 02/02/2023) to the next session vide notification number 14-56/2022-PCI (Approval Process for 2022-2023 a.s.)/17710 dated 8th February.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, Federation of Self Financing Tecnical Institutions (FSFTI) & President, Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) thanked PCI for giving this relief. However Kataria demanded that Pharmacy Education Regulatory Charges (PERC) should not be increased & should also be kept as it was earlier.
In the last notification issued on 2/2/23, PCI has revised the fees for B.Pharma & D. Pharma to 4.00 lakh & 2.00 lakh respectively which was 0.5 lakh for D. Pharma & 1.00 Lakh for B. Pharma in 2021. But in the latest notification the annual PERC mentioned for B. Pharm & D. Pharm are 0.5 lakh & 2.0 Lakh respectively & has clarified that Security Deposit will not be charged from the existing institutions in 2023-24 but PERC have been revised.
