Around 100 Chancellors and Chairmen of Educational Institutions from Punjab Participated

PUCA will  schedule international visits to promote Punjab as a global education hub

The Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) organized a Lohri-cum-New Year Celebration at the Chandigarh Golf Academy under the leadership of Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, PUCA & Federation of Self Financing Technical Institutions (FSFTI) and Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura Near Chandigarh.

On the occasion, several eminent personalities were present, including Satnam Singh Sandhu, Gurvinder Bahra, S. Manjeet Singh, Advocate Amit Sharma, Ashwani Garg, Ashok Garg, along with H.P.S. Kanda, S. Gurpreet Singh, and S. Gurkirat Singh.

The event witnessed the participation of around 100 Chancellors, Chairmen, and senior representatives of educational institutions from across Punjab, reflecting strong unity and collective resolve within the private education sector.

Speaking on the occasion, Satnam Singh Sandhu remarked that the contribution of the private sector in making Punjab self-reliant in the field of technical education has been remarkable. He noted that this contribution goes beyond academics, as private institutions have consistently demonstrated social responsibility, strengthened educational infrastructure, and generated employment opportunities, thereby playing a vital role in shaping the bright future of Punjab.

Sandhu further stated that the role of Dr. Anshu Kataria in bringing together 250 unaided colleges of Punjab has been significant, and that even educational institutions from South India acknowledge and accept his leadership. He extended his best wishes to Dr. Kataria for uniting nearly 8,000 unaided technical colleges of the country on a single platform.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Anshu Kataria stated that PUCA aims to unite nearly 8,000 colleges across the country on a single platform. He shared that strong support has already been received from over 250 unaided self-financed colleges, and Punjab will soon emerge as a frontrunner in higher education. He also highlighted that the Government is making continuous efforts to position Punjab as a leading destination for education.

Dr. Kataria further emphasized that Punjab has already achieved the top position in the school education sector and now the focus is on making higher education institutions equally exemplary. He announced that PUCA will soon schedule international visits to promote Punjab as a global education hub.

On the occasion various member colleges representatives including Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Bahra University, Mohali; GNA University;  Lamrin Tech University;  SVIET;  Quest Group, Universal Group, Chandigarh University, CT University,  Sukhmani Group,  Baba Shri Chand College, Ram Devi Jindal Group, Bharat Group, Gulzar Group, Doaba Group, Satyam Group, Swift Group, BIS Group, PIMT, Khanna, RIET Phagwara, KCT Group, Indo Global, Chandigarh, Dolphin Group Chunni Kalan were also present.
