History & Formation
A Journey from Shared Challenges to Collective Empowerment
Established in 2010, the Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) serves as the collective voice of Punjab’s unaided higher education institutions.
Initially formed by a group of like-minded private colleges facing common challenges like policy uncertainty, delayed scholarships, and declining admissions, PUCA was envisioned as a platform for collaboration, advocacy, and empowerment.
Today, PUCA represents over 200+ private colleges across disciplines such as engineering, pharmacy, management, nursing, law, education, and more.
The association actively works to promote academic excellence, drive policy reforms, and support institutional growth across the state — ensuring that private education plays a leading role in shaping Punjab’s future.
