About PUCA
Established in 2010, PUCA (Punjab Unaided Colleges Association) is the collective voice of Punjab’s unaided higher education institutions. Representing over 400+ private colleges, PUCA promotes academic excellence, policy reforms, and institutional growth across the state.
Formation of PUCA
▪️ 2015 — PUCA Established as a unified voice of Unaided Colleges in Punjab
▪️ 2016 — Raised major concerns regarding declining admissions in technical education & non-payment of government scholarships to institutions
▪️ Strong advocacy on Post-Matric Scholarship issues & institutional sustainability
▪️ 2018 — Expansion to 300+ member colleges across professional streams
▪️ Active engagement with AICTE, Government & regulatory authorities
▪️ 2020-21 — Policy representation during COVID-19 challenges for private institutions
▪️ 2022 — Participation in NEP 2020 consultations & higher education reforms
▪️ 2023 — Industry collaborations & skill development initiatives for students.
▪️ 2024 — Mega Education Summit with 2000+ participants
▪️ 2025 — National level academic partnerships & scholarship initiatives, B2B Events in Jk, Patna, Jharkhand, North East
